You will find The Black Horse Inn in the quiet village of Clifton, less than a mile off Junction 25 of the M62. We are located in an ideal place for touring the scenic beauty spots of Yorkshire, the historic City of York and scores of Country Houses and Parks. Leeds, Bradford & Huddersfield are all less than twenty minutes drive away which makes us a convenient centre for traveller's on both business or for pleasure .

The Black Horse Inn is a traditional Olde World 17th Century Inn. Packed with charming features including original oak beams, open fires, and a beautiful courtyard area to soak up the sun in the summer months.
The Black Horse Inn is a family owned and run business. Jane Russell together with her husband Andrew bought the business in 1998 and Jane represents the third generation of the same family to own and run the business stretching back over 60 years.
Set in the quiet village of Clifton, The Black Horse Inn is easily accessible from all the main conurbations of West Yorkshire and is ideally situated half a mile from Junction 25 of the M62, so you can enjoy the best of both worlds, be away from it all and yet close to everything.

All children are welcome. All children under 5 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots. Our 21 en-suite bedrooms have been converted from old cottages and retain all the original character and yet have all the warmth and modern facilities expected today.

Leeds, Bradford and Huddersfield are all less than 20 minutes away which makes The Black Horse a convenient centre for business travelers.
Rooms completely refurbished in recent years retaining all the character of the 16th century while providing all the modern facilities required today.
These rooms are larger and have added luxuries toiletries from The White Company.
Our two dining rooms offer fine dining cuisine created by a highly qualified and talented team of chefs. All food appearing on the menu is freshly prepared here including bread and ice-cream. Our hand chopped chips are also a local favourite. For early diners we have a great offer between 5.30pm and 7.00pm (Monday to Friday). Our Fixe-Prix menu provides two courses for £12.95 and three courses for £15.95.
There is only one way to finish a great meal and that's with a great digestif. Our range of great digestifs and liqueurs can be accompanied by either coffee or a range of freshly ground coffees, of course coffee is not complete without a selection of chefs petit fours.
Our passion for great food is almost matched by our passion and curiosity for good wine. So much so that our current wine list boasts over 100 bins from all around the world so there must be something for everyone. From time to time we have been able to introduce our diners to some of the worlds famous winemakers during our popular food and wine dinners. Watch out for these in our forthcoming events.
Travelling from Leeds/Bradford Westbound on the M62 :
Exit Motorway at Junction 25 Brighouse/Huddersfield. At the roundabout turn right signposted Brighouse. As soon as you leave the roundabout move into the right hand lane of the dual carriageway. Take the first right, signposted Clifton/17 Century Coaching Inn The Black Horse Inn, As you climb the hill the Holiday Inn will be on your left, follow the road into the village and we are situated on the right hand side, our main car park is at the T Junction.
Travelling from Manchester Eastbound on the M62 :
Exit Motorway at Junction 25 Brighouse/Huddersfield. At the roundabout turn left signposted Brighouse. As soon as you leave the roundabout move into the right hand lane of the dual carriageway. Take the first right, signposted Clifton/17 Century Coaching Inn The Black Horse Inn, As you climb the hill the Holiday Inn will be on your left, follow the road into the village and we are situated on the right hand side, our main car park is at the T Junction.
